The series began with the 2008 film 1920, directed by Vikram Bhatt, followed by 1920: Evil Returns (2012) directed by Bhushan Patel, and 1920 London (2016) directed by Vikram Bhatt. The first two films were commercially successful at the box office, while the third did moderately well. A spin-off/sequel, 1921, released in 2018, continues the same series.
